BettyJo’s Show Review

Hello everyone.  It’s me your favorite Camp Queen, the incomparable Mizz BJ Thunderpussy.  The following is a brief review of the wonderfully successful Benefit show that was held on Saturday September 23rd at the Utica Polish Community Center.

This show was being held to benefit the Family Nurturing Center.  And heading up this cause is the one and only Dominick Seymour, owner and proprietor of Hair Essentials Salon.  Dominick has been involved with the Family Nurturing Center for several years, dedicating many countless hours of his time to benefit underprivileged children in the Mohawk Valley area.

I am pleased to announce that this show was very successful in its endeavors, collecting $601.00.  CNY Productions, the Promoters of this show (Bill Perry and Adam Shaver) one word - yuuuuuummmmy!!! selflessly donated $3.00 from every ticket sold.  This combined with the profits of the 50/50 raffle is how this show was such a great success.

We had a great line-up of guest performers, including:

The Lady Kokoa Chanel (Miss Oneida County 2006)

Ms. Nikki Fenmore  (Miss CNY 2004)

Ms. Roberta Baker (former Miss Utica)

Ms. Sapphire Storm (former Miss Utica Paramount)

Ms. Kaylee Richards (Miss CNY 1998)

Miss Elana Devine (Faaaaaabulous!)

and myself Mizz Bettyjo Thunderpussy (Miss Utica Up & Coming 2006)

And of course the evening wouldn't have been complete without the faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaabulous hosting skills of Mr. Dan Lasher!!! I simply love Dan’s quick wit and sarcastic humor.  And we cannot forget the sexy and talented DJ Tony Salce, He kicks out the beats and lights like no other!!!

The show started a bit late at 9PM (it was suppose to start at 8PM).

The Lady Kokoa Chanel opened the show and as usual miss thang worked that stage over. Honey, All the gurlz had a great time performing!   I wish I was able to go down the line and give a brief review of each number performed.  However, this would take some time, plus I didn’t keep notes so maybe next time. Either way, everyone (performers and audience alike) seemed to have a really great time!

So, if you agree with this review then I will most likely see you at the next show. Miss Empire State Pageant - November 11th @ the Polish Community Center (details on this website).  This is going to be a great show with several guest performers. Oh and please spread the word to friends, family, and co-workers, because I don’t think anyone’s going to want to miss it!   Smooches!
